Doomed Geeky Couples from Buffy, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Part 1.

Hi guys, I finally got around to updating this piece of loveliness that I call a blog, so hold on to your knickers my fellow lady geeks (or guys) cause we are going on a whirlwind tour of the geek world's most doomed romances.

1. Buffy and Angel.

Pout, brood, kiss, cry, brood some more then fight, kill, come back to life, cry, kiss, brood and pout. That about sums up the on-again, off-again, on-again relationship between Buffy and Angel. Not one of my favourite couples it has to be said: he's a vampire, she's a vampire slayer, he can't go out in the day, she is a red blooded woman, he can't do the dirty - like I said she's a red blooded lady. It was doomed from the start.

2. Robb and Talisa Stark

Rough looking Doctor Lady on the battlefield catches the eye of Mr Robert Stark. Much naked frolicking soon follows:

And in the interests of equality (which is always at the forefront of my mind):

They got married in spite of Mother's firm disapproval (you really should have listened to Mummy Robby) and got themselves pregnant to boot.

All was flowers and roses (wait roses are flowers?!)...

Until...

wait for it...

and this...

Not to mention this...

And this...

Remember? Like you'd forget. Poor, wretched, little human that you are.

Y'all was sitting there like, "I'm watching the Game of Thrones finale, on my big ass couch, on my big ass TV, with my big ass friends. I got me some popcorn in one hand and a beer in the other and I'm gonna put my feet on the coffee table, sit back, relax and savour every single moment of this televisual delight 'cause it's the last in the season! Man! I might even cry at the end cause I'm gonna have to wait a whole bloody year for another bloody episode."

Shock, crying, face pulling and head slapping ensued within the hour for many subsequent hours.

(even hipsters feel real sadness sometimes - then they go and sing about it or write a poem (sorry - haiku).

(I like this guy)

This is more like what you looked like though:

And for a moment GoT fans everywhere were united in their saddness and shock, except for this gal on the right, who is taking down mental notes on how best to end the mortal lives of the two sitting next to her.

Darn it! Now I feel real sad. So here's the obligatory cat video - you have to watch this, seriously if you don't laugh, you ain't human.
.

Toodle-oo

Tune in next time for more geeky madness.
