For those among us who have a love for all things Potter, here are 10 little known factoids about the Wizarding World.
1) The actress who plays Moaning Myrtle (Shirley Henderson) is the oldest person ever to play a Hogwarts Student - at the grand old age of 37 when the Chamber of Secrets was filmed.
2) Hogwart's School Motto 'Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus' amusingly means: Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon.
3) The Dementors are actually a representation of the depression which J.K.Rowling has experienced in her life.
4) Neither of the Weasley twins are natural born red-heads.
5) The word Dumbledore is an English word for Bumblebee.
6) In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, a painting of Gandalf the Great can be seen amongst all of the other paintings in Dumbledore's study.
7) The least successful Harry Potter film (Prisoner of Azkaban) made $90 million more dollars than the most successful Twilight film!
8) Whilst filming the naked kissing scenes between Harry and Hermione in the last film, Rupert Grint had to be removed from set because he was disturbing filming - by laughing too much.
9) Voldemort was never able to love because he was conceived under the effects of a love potion.
10) The first and last words said by Dobby - The Free House Elf - during the course of the books were 'Harry Potter' (and if you're anything like me that makes you want to start crying!!)
RIP Dobby. We will always remember you!
